John Heminway

Since 1967 John Heminway has been documenting and celebrating wild corners of our planet, astonishing people and critical issues.

A DGA, WGA, AFTRA and Explorer’s Club member, as well as a Royal Geographic Society fellow, he is an accomplished author and screenwriter and producer. Learn more at heminway.net.


Katie Carpenter

As a producer and writer of documentary films about the planet, Carpenter has traveled the globe covering endangered species and habitats, human origins, climate change and more. Her films have appeared on PBS, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic TV and Discovery Kids.

She also serves as Project Director and Media Analyst for a climate science communication initiative based at Yale Law School, evaluating documentaries and other media about polarizing issues which are science-based and policy-relevant. She is the author of a book about dolphins and an ongoing series of articles about greening the film industry, and serves on the Women in Conservation Council at Audubon.


Josh Cook

A seasoned producer and editor, Josh has been working in non-fiction film for over a decade. His background ranges in environmental and natural history films to branded entertainment and broadcast programming.

Josh's knowledge extends to multi-cam coverage, live-production, and public relations strategies. His work has been seen on MTV, ABC, A&E, Planet Green, and Comedy Central, as well as all over the web. Solvie Karlstrom

Before working as a research and production assistant with Everwild Media, Solvie Karlstrom served as Assistant Editor at National Geographic Green Guide and earned a degree in sociology from Columbia University where she completed a field study on reintegration in post-conflict Sierra Leone.
